A wooden hand carved stick (known in South Africa as a knobkerrie) decorated with detailed Zulu beadwork. Traditionally used by the tribesmen as an attacking weapon, it is now more commonly used in ceremonies. Using a small delicate bead the Zulu ladies add the beadwork to the carved knobkerrie as decoration.
